Nová verze AI chatbotu Bard o sobě umí „pochybovat“ a pracuje s Gmailem, Dokumenty či Mapami

Google vydal novou verzi svého AI chatbota. Bard nově umí pracovat s obrázky i v češtině, ověřuje své odpovědi přes vyhledávač a naučil se i pár dalších triků.

Není to plná integrace AI chatbota Bard do kancelářských aplikací Googlu, ale určitý krok tímto směrem. Nová verze, kterou dnes Google pustil do světa, přináší možnost pracovat s vybranými službami Googlu a firma do budoucna slibuje i podporu pro aplikace třetích stran.

Na rozdíl od chytrého asistenta Google Duet, který míří spíš do firemního prostředí, je Bard stále zdarma. Duet umí pracovat s daty napříč kancelářskými aplikacemi Google Workspace a momentálně jej mohou firmy testovat v otevřeném betaprovozu. Google už oznámil, že za každého uživatele, který bude Duet používat, bude účtovat 30 USD měsíčně (nad rámec předplatného kancelářského balíku).

Nový Bard je podle Googlu postavený na nové verzi velkého jazykového modelu PaLM2 a funguje ve více než 40 jazykových verzích. Některé funkce, které byly původně dostupné jen v angličtině, mohou nově používat i uživatelé v dalších jazycích, včetně češtiny.

Patří k nim třeba možnost pracovat v Bardu s obrázky. Uživatel může fotku nahrát přímo do konverzace (prostřednictvím Google Lens) a chatbot pak umí identifikovat, co na obrázku je, a dále jej v rámci konverzace používat.

Napříč aplikacemi

Zatím jen v angličtině funguje asi největší novinka, kterou nový Bard obsahuje. Jde o schopnost chatbota pracovat s vybranými aplikacemi a službami Googlu. Tzv. Bard Extensions umožňují chatbotu například prohledávat obsah e-mailů v Gmailu, hledat na Google Disku nebo napsat shrnutí z některého souboru v Google Dokumentech.

V rámci jedné konverzace Bard umí pracovat i s více službami Googlu najednou. Příklady promptů, které Google uvádí, zahrnují třeba situaci, kdy uživatel do chatbotu nahraje fotku dětské sedačky a požádá Bard, aby mu na YouTube našel videa s návodem na její instalaci do auta (chatbot tedy využije Google Lens a YouTube). Kombinovat se ale dají i další jednotlivé služby Googlu.

Do budoucna firma plánuje Bard otevřít i aplikacím a službám třetích stran, potvrdil na setkání s novináři ředitel produktového managementu Googlu Jack Krawczyk. Podrobnosti ani předpokládaný termín ale neuvedl.

Data, se kterými Bard v rámci Extensions pracuje, se podle Googlu nepoužívají k trénování jazykového modelu ani k cílení reklam. K obsahu z Gmailu, Dokumentů a dalších služeb, se kterými Bard přijde do styku, také nemají přístup lidští moderátoři.

Pomoc s halucinacemi 

Google se v nové verzi chatbota pokusil vypořádat i s problémem tzv. halucinací, tedy se situacemi, kdy si Bard odpovědi na dotazy uživatele „vymýšlí“ a sebevědomě dokáže tvrdit i úplné nesmysly. Stiskem tlačítka s písmenem G se Bard pokusí tvrzení, která vygeneroval, ověřit pomocí vyhledávání Googlu. Firma tomu říká double-check.

Výsledkem je text, ve kterém jsou Bardova tvrzení označena barevně podle toho, jak si je chatbot správností své odpovědi „jistý“ – tedy zda pro ně dokázal pomocí vyhledávače najít odpovídají potvrzení.

Pokud ne, tedy když Google našel na webu odlišné informace, nebo nenašel žádný odpovídající obsah, je tvrzení podbarveno oranžově. Pokud ano, tedy vyhledávač dal výsledek, který tvrzení podporuje, je podkres zelený. Po kliknutí na podbarvený text se zobrazí také odkazy na příslušné weby, které vyhledávač našel.

Pokud text Bardovy odpovědi není nijak podbarvený, znamená to obvykle, že nešlo o faktické tvrzení. Chatbot také zatím z ověřování vynechává informace z tabulek nebo z programovacího kódu.

Další novinkou Barda je možnost sdílet konverzace s dalšími uživateli. Chatbot umožňuje buď exportovat konverzaci do dokumentů, poslat odkaz na ni Gmailem, nebo vygenerovat tzv. veřejný odkaz, který se dá poslat komukoli dalšímu. Dotyčný pak může v konverzaci pokračovat.
