Povinnost mít u sebe řidičák odpadne už od nového roku

Od ledna 2024 přestanou existovat velké technické průkazy a osvědčení o registraci vozidla bude obsahovat nové údaje. Řidiči tak místo dvou dokladů k vozidlu budou potřebovat jen jeden, a to právě takzvaný malý technický průkaz. Od stejného data nebudou řidiči muset mít u sebe ani řidičský průkaz. Uvedlo to ministerstvo dopravy, které tím korigovalo tweet na sociální síti X vicepremiéra pro digitalizaci Ivana Bartoše.

„Se zrušením této povinnosti se počítalo, a bylo zákonem dáno, od 1. července 2025. Nám se podařilo tento termín výrazně zkrátit,“ uvedl mluvčí resortu Filip Medelský. „Od 1. ledna 2024 se tedy při silniční kontrole postačí prokázat dokladem totožnosti (klasicky platný občanský průkaz, případně cestovní pas) a kontrolní orgány si platnost dokladů ověří v příslušných registrech,“ dodal.

Ministerstvo upozorňuje, že toto opatření bude platit pouze v tuzemsku. „Při cestách do zahraničí bude dál potřeba mít plastovou kartičku fyzicky u sebe,“ zdůrazňuje mluvčí. Zároveň bude stále nutné mít platný řidičský průkaz, i když nebude platit povinnost ho nosit u sebe. I nadále tak bude třeba absolvovat povinnou výměnu řidičáku z důvodu vypršení jeho platnosti.

U technických průkazů má být výměna dvou dokladů za jeden postupná. „U starších vozidel se počítá s tím, že při nejbližším úkonu provedeném na registračním místě se technický průkaz odebere a vydá doklad nový,“ řekl Medelský.
